HALF DAY RATE
– up to four hours at one location
– includes up to 6 edited photos (typical is 4-6 photos)
$1500
Additional photos: $150/photo
A half day is generally best suited to small one or two room projects, with one to three angles per room
any time beyond four hours bills at the full day rate and includes up to 14 photos
a ten minute refreshment break may be taken during the four hours on site
FULL DAY RATE
– up to eight hours at one location
– includes up to 14 edited photos (typical is 12-15 photos)
$2200
Additional photos: $150/photo
A full day covers multi room projects; entire home projects will likely require multiple days on site
any time beyond eight hours bills at a rate of $200/hour (no additional photos included)
a 30 minute lunch break will be taken during the eight hours on site
LICENSING
Final images include a non-exclusive standard limited license for the hiring client only. This license includes the following usage:
– website portfolio
– social media content (no paid advertising)
– print portfolio and associated collateral (flyers, etc.)
– editorial pitching
– digital editorial
– contest submission
The following uses require further licensing permission and associated fees:
– print editorial*
– paid advertising (print or digital)
– sharing with brands, e.g. for sponsored content
– any third party use or sharing of any kind
*Print editorial: photo usage fees should be paid for by the magazine, however if the magazine does not have a budget for photo usage please let me know and we can discuss alternative options including cost sharing.
The photographer retains copyright in perpetuity.
Usage rights for additional parties are available for additional fees.
COST SHARING
Additional third party clients (e.g. contractor, architect, interior designer, kitchen company, etc.) may share licensing with the hiring client for an additional cost of 30% per client of the total shoot cost, significantly bringing down the total cost per vendor.
Example 1:
Full day rate $2200
14 total images: included
Total shoot cost: $2200
+ 30% cost sharing: $660
Total cost per vendor: $1430
Example 2:
Half day rate: $1500
8 total images (6 included): $300
Total shoot cost: $1800
+ 30% cost sharing: $540
Total cost per vendor: $1170
EDITING & RETOUCHING
Final images include standard editing which includes:
– exposure adjustments including combining multiple exposures
– color adjustments
– adjustments for wide angle lens distortion
– removal of quick and easily removable architectural blemishes such as outlets, switches, canned lighting, etc.
– removal of the odd stain, scuff mark, etc.
The following types of retouching are available upon request, usually for an additional fee, and may be outsourced to a specialist retoucher depending on complexity:
– any form of thorough cleaning (dirty grout, mirror schmutz, footprints, fingerprints, etc)
– large object removal (such as cars, artwork, furniture, lamps, appliances, etc.)
– replacement objects
– removal of architectural blemishes when partially obscured by other objects such as plants (intricate retouching may be necessary)
– removal of architectural blemishes from a busy background such as tile or wallpaper
Please ensure that the spaces to be photographed will be clean and styled prior to the shoot start time. This will avoid or minimize any additional retouching fees, and maximize the time for photography!
